BASIC REQUIREMENTS:Masters degree or higher doctoral degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS GS12:Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS11 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Examples include: Providing integrated mental and social service health maintenance emergency and therapeutic services to patients. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: Must have ability to independently perform clinical social work functions with demonstration of advanced knowledge and skill in the management of complex social work scenarios as indicated by possession of one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Certified Independent Social Worker (CISW) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW). Time In GradeFederal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the TimeInGrade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. TimeInGrade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of the announcement.
