The Successful Applicant

For GS12 Social Worker position: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience independently providing effective assessment and treatment for mental health services to clients who have clinical problems such as wearandtear injuries moral injuries anger and aggression grief and transitions to and from deployment and other discontinuities in social and environmental context and support. Experience collecting vital client information diagnosing using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder (DSM) and determining needed services. Experience providing psychoeducational briefs to large groups including service members and their families. Experience acting as a liaison between mental health providers and nonproviders including advocating for clients.
