The Successful Applicant

SELECTIVE FACTOR: This position performs socioeconomic duties and experience working with a diversity of socioeconomic methods to establish protocols for analyzing and reporting socioeconomic monitoring data and results for recreation leisure protected area and visitor use programs over time is required. AND To qualify for this position at the GS12 grade level you must possess ALL of the following basic and minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: BASIC REQUIREMENT: Degree: behavioral or social science or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. AND EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS11 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes ALL of the following: (1) provides leadership to parks and programs regarding socioeconomic monitoring data (2) conducts data analyses including utilizing primary and secondary data sources (3) generates tools and reference materials to assist parks and their stakeholders to understand socioeconomic data methods and approaches analyses and results (4) maintains socioeconomic monitoring databases to receive manage document and communicate to various stakeholders and (5) Provides technical assistance to park managers and interested external stakeholders in the use and interpretation of socioeconomic monitoring data and results. You must include hours per week worked. You must include months years and hours per week worked to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Parttime hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as varies. Experience listed as fulltime will be credited at 40 hours per week. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience.
