The Successful Applicant

Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS018512 must have 24 months of experience in clinical social work assignments. This experience demonstrates particular competencies of knowledge skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Must have specialized experience in professional social work that includes interviewing people to establish the nature and extent of their problems helping them workout plans for improving the situation providing assistance and services referring them to community resources and other organizations as indicated and assisting them to understand and modify their own patterns of behavior when appropriate. Except as stated above no other substitution of education for specialized experience is allowed. Professional Social Work Licensure Requirements: To qualify for the GS12 a candidate must have one year equivalent to the GS11. Knowledge of social work theories principles techniques and resources with 24 months of experience in clinical social work assignments. Restrictions: No record of conviction by special or general courtsmartial or civilian courts of offenses. Requirements for Motor Vehicle Operation: Candidates must possess and maintain a valid state motor vehicle operators license of the appropriate classification or kind. Quality of Experience: Candidates experience is evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the individuals officer rank however established military compatibility criteria/assignments are strictly followed. The applicants record of experiences training licensing and education must show full possession of the competencies needed to fully perform the positions required duties and responsibilities.
