The Successful Applicant

Basic Requirements Degree: Social Work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the Masters degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized Experience at or equivalent to the GS09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying a wide range of concepts principles methods and techniques used by Clinical Counselors in the behavioral science field Providing delivery of support services in serious and complex cases involving families atrisk for child abuse and neglect creating and maintaining relationship with community partners and providing education and training Assessing family needs family dynamics stages of growth and development and risks for domestic violence and child abuse/neglect Utilizing positive parenting practices child development and theories of attachment Communicating w/diverse individuals during routine and crisis situations including those in the medical legal and social service military and civilian communities AND Applying/adhering to state and federal laws and procedures which govern the reporting of domestic violence suspected child abuse/neglect and child sexual abuse. CLINICAL COUNSEL When deemed appropriate serves as a consultant for Clinical Case Staff Meeting (CCSM) cases.
