The Successful Applicant

To be considered for the position you must meet the following: Basic Requirements: Degree: Social work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the masters degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. AND In addition to meeting the basic requirement you must have: Education: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position. Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. To be creditable this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are: Experience that demonstrates knowledge of psychosocial cultural and economic human behavior dynamics as they relate to patients faced with acute or chronic illness. Experience in demonstrating extensive and advanced professional knowledge as well as a thorough and in depth understanding of social work as it relates to correctional healthcare. Experience in the planning implementation and evaluation of clinical programs and services assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and appropriate resources for the delivery of social work programs. AND Selective Placement Factor: Applicants applying for this position MUST also possess the following Selective Factor. In the event you do not possess the Selective Factor you will be found ineligible for the position. Applicant must possess a license as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) OR equivalent.
