The Successful Applicant

Only experience and education obtained by 12/11/2023 will be considered. In order to qualify for this position you must possess Minimum Qualification. Minimum Qualification GS4 Six months of general experience PLUS six months of specialized experience equivalent to the GS03 level in the federal service. General Experience is any type of work that demonstrates your ability to perform the work of this position or experience which provided a familiarity with the subject matter or processes. Specialized experience includes: group leader in a community or residential recreation or training program youth summer camp counselor job skills trainer work that demonstrated the ability to lead and train members of a job crew group activities leader in the Armed Services unit leader for a dormitory group in a residential facility assistant to associate staff engaged in work of a social services nature such as drug/alcohol addiction or other work directly related to the duties of the position. OR Successful completion of 2 years of study above high school that (a) included at least 12 semester hours of subjects directly related to the work of this position or (b) was supplemented by experience in activities that afforded the opportunity to acquire and demonstrate the skills required by the position. The supplementary experience may have been gained for example in parttime or summer employment in volunteer social welfare or recreation programs or in community organizations. OR A combination of education and experience as described in 1 and 2 above which together equals 100 of the requirement Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience.
