The Successful Applicant

Basic Requirement: In order to qualify for a Social Worker GS0185 position you must meet the following Basic Education Requirement: You must have a Masters Degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Additional Requirements: In addition in order to qualify for a Supervisory Social WorkerGS0185 at the GS15 level you must have at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS14 level in the Federal Government obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following types of tasks: Planning directing and coordinating the financial and budgetary activities of a Social Work department initiating and developing standards of care and criteria for newly identified areas of social work practices managing the development of new approaches and methods to deliver social work services through subordinate supervisors developing and implementing policies procedures or initiatives for social work as it relates to health care and representing an organization in meetings and discussions with internal and external agencies. AND Selective Factor: In order to meet minimum qualification requirements you must demonstrate possession of the selective factor of this position. Selective factor include You must possess an active current registration as an independent clinical Licensed Social Worker or equivalent level of licensure (i.e. LCSW LICSW CIPSW etc.) from a licensing board in the United States including the District of Columbia Guam Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
