The Successful Applicant

This information is needed to determine if you are qualified for the position. Basic Requirements: Degree Requirement: social work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the masters degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. License Requirement: You must possess a valid and current professional unrestricted license to practice clinical social work independently in any one of the 50 states the District of Columbia Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands. (License must be submitted at time of application.) Specialized Experience: In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements applicants must have specialized experience and/or directly related education in the following amounts: 24 months of experience in clinical social work assignments. This experience demonstrates particular competencies of knowledge skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Must have specialized experience in professional social work that includes interviewing people to establish the nature and extent of their problems helping them workout plans for improving the situation providing assistance and services referring them to community resources and other organizations as indicated and assisting them to understand and modify their own patterns of behavior when appropriate or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree Combination of Graduate Education and Professional Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
