To see if your institution is accredited please follow this link: http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.aspx Basic Requirements: Must meet one of the items listed below: Have a bachelors or higher degree in behavioral or social science or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Have a combination of education and experience that provided knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. The number of semester hours required to constitute a major field of study is the amount specified by the college or university attended. If this number cannot be obtained 24 semester hours will be considered as equivalent to a major field of study. OR Have four years of appropriate experience that demonstrate I have acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. AND Specialized Experience: In addition to the basic requirement above you must have oneyear specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS11 grade level in the Federal service performing all of the following: Conducting complex program evaluation or social science research. Developing written and oral presentation of the results. Identifying and applying appropriate study methodologies to program evaluation or social science research designs. Applying a range of analytical research/evaluation techniques including qualitative and quantitative analysis of data to assess and improve program efficiency and effectiveness Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience. Your resume should include the dates of all qualifying experience (from month/year to month/year) and the number of hours worked/volunteered per week. Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to fulltime work parttimework is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience please indicate dates of employment by month/year and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.
