Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience if qualifying based on education your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Education Requirement: Degree: Masters degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. In addition to meeting the Basic Education Requirement above you must also meet the Specialized Experience described below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS13 grade level in the Federal service which includes: conduct ongoing program assessments to identify program success and failure track changes regarding regulations policies and procedures develop Social Work resources and strategies provide technical guidance to staff and support personnel apply qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify assess and analyze program effectiveness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GS13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted. Licensure: A current active valid unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently offered by a U.S. State District of Columbia Commonwealth territory or jurisdiction is required. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Developing Others Planning and Evaluating Psychology Teamwork Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS13).
