The Successful Applicant
To qualify for a Social Science Analyst position with DLA your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Basic Requirement: Bachelors degree or higher in behavioral or social science or related disciplines appropriate to the position. Applicants MUST submit a copy of their official college transcripts from an accredited educational institution which reflects that a behavioral or social science or equivalent degree was conferred and the date conferred. Failure to submit your transcripts may result in lost consideration. OR Combination of education and experience: A combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Experience: Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above to qualify for this position you must also meet the Specialized Experience requirements listed below: B. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS14 level applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including timeingrade (General Schedule (GS) positions only) timeafter competitive appointment minimum qualifications and any other regulatory requirements by the cutoff/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Advising management on policies and procedures related to a prevention program implementation. Designing and conducting research plans to determine effective methodologies for collecting real world data. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional philanthropic religious spiritual community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience.
