WHO CAN APPLY: GROUP I All qualified Male/Female Commissioned Officer (O1/2LT O4/MAJ) currently employed (permanent) in the Virginia Army National Guard Military Technician Program. GROUP II All qualified Virginia Army National Guard Male/Female Commissioned Officer (O1/2LT O4/MAJ) regardless of employment status (Traditional Military Technician or AGR). To be considered as a Group II applicant proof of appointment/enlistment in the Virginia National Guard must be attached if the appointment/enlistment occurred within 60 days prior to or during the advertisement period. Military Grades: Commissioned Officer (O1/2LT O4/MAJ) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have experience providing: primary secondary and tertiary prevention programs specialty training for NG health care professionals and other personnel on issues related to the psychological health of Guardsmen and their families and multilevel community organization collaboration and enhancement. records work records and reports. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have least 36 months of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS11 level or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as: Experience in coordinating with the National Guard community serving military and nonmilitary agencies to promote and achieve timely information exchange coordinate collaborative prevention efforts and establish and maintain an extensive array of resources associations and community partnerships. Experience in conducting assessments intake evaluations and psychodiagnostic assessments. Experience in developing coordinated plans for reducing risk factors for individuals and within the community Experience in prevention problem resolution and care in psychological health matters.
