The Successful Applicant

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Basic Requirements: Successful completion of a full 4year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelors or higher degree in behavioral or social science or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. AND To be qualified for this position at the GS13 level you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS12 level or equivalent which is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and has equipped the candidate with the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully. Specialized experience is defined as follows: Assisting in designing procuring and overseeing studies and surveys to evaluate and assess a programs effectiveness AND Presenting findings / evaluation results to organizational management or stakeholders AND Analyzing or linking datasets across administrative or survey databases AND Conducting statistical analyses using social science principles and methods in one of the following substantive areas: poverty housing social determinants of health or community development. To be qualified for this position at the GS12 level you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS11 level or equivalent which is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and has equipped the candidate with the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully. Specialized experience is defined as follows: Presenting findings / evaluation results to organizational management or stakeholders AND Analyzing or linking datasets across administrative or survey databases AND Conducting statistical analyses using social science principles and methods in one of the following substantive areas: poverty housing social determinants of health or community development. To be qualified for this position at the GS11 level you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS9 level or equivalent which is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and has equipped the candidate with the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully. Specialized experience is defined as follows: Analyzing or linking datasets across administrative or survey databases AND Conducting statistical analyses using social science principles and methods in one of the following substantive areas: poverty housing social determinants of health or community development. OR 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. OR You may qualify on a combination of education and experience. To combine education and experience the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the requirement as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the requirement must equal at least 100 percent. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 36 semester hours (54 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education. Experience may have been gained in either the public private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to fulltime work parttime work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.
